for someone whose area of specialization is in psychology and
religion, anthropology of religion, or other social scientific
approach to the field. The successful candidate will also have a
cultural area expertise: i.e., East Asia, Southeast Asia, Africa
or Afro-Caribbean or African-American, Native American or other
indigenous religion.
We require scholarly achievement / promise, demonstrating
teaching excellence, and the ability to offer thematic courses
(such as comparative mysticisms) and one section each semester of
our writing-intensive, introductory religion course.
Some informal interviews at the AAR meeting may be arranged. Rank
