15TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF ASEASUK

The theme will be `Gender and the Sexes in Southeast Asia'. In
keeping with the ASEASUK's multidisciplinary approach, the
conference will cover a broad spectrum of research with papers on
both the masculine and feminine, on modernity and tradition and
on 'desire' and sexual discourse in literature and art as well as
in social organisation. Perspectives from demography, geography
and ecology will be welcome. It is hoped to obtain contributions
on all parts of the region.
