Derks, Dr. S. Munshi and Dr. J.C.M. Peeters, research fellows IIAS and Professor P. van der Veer, programme director) 1995 In 1995 the IIAS will start a series of fortnightly lectures by the research fellows on their research. The lectures will be held Thursdays at lunchtime (between 1 and 2pm) starting on January 12. Other dates so far confirmed are January 26, February 9, and February 23. In February the IIAS plans to organize an "Asia Fair" with poster presentations by young Asian scholars, an antiquarian bookmarket, and publishers. The Fair will conclude with a party. Two or three times a year, IIAS will organize 'Masterclasses' centred on and under the guidance of prominent scholars. Selected post-docs and advanced PhD students will be given the opportunity to discuss their research work with the Master. For more information, see under IIAS News in this issue.
