13TH EUROPEAN CONFERENCE OF MODERN SOUTH ASIAN STUDIES

RECTIFICATION
Probably because of the withdrawal of an earlier announcement, unknown to
the editors of the IIAS Newletter, the information on the 13th European
Conference of Modern South Asian Studies in the last issue of the IIAS
Newsletter included some errorss, e.g. the dates of the conference and some
names of proposed conveners. We apologize for this and are happy to be able
to present the correct information.
You are cordially invited to register for the conference, open to
researchers and students working on South Asia. Panels and themes have now
been finalized, and a brochure including the programme will soon be

The sessions will be held at l'Arche, University of Toulouse-le-Mirail.
This is a large, modern building at the entrance of the campus, just
opposite the Metro station of Mirail-Universit‚. Accomodation is in town.
