CATALOGUE OF ACEHNESE MANUSCRIPTS

On 10 February, 1994, the "Catalogue of Acehnese Manuscripts in the Library
of Leiden University and other Collections Outside Aceh' was presented to the
author Dr P. Voorhoeve. This important publication for the study of Indonesian
philology, literature, and religion was presented by the Rector Magnificus,
Prof. Dr L. Leertouwer. 
The book was compiled by Prof. Dr Voorhoeve - now 94 years old - in
co-operation with Prof. Dr Teuku Iskandar from the university of Brunei
Darussalam. It was translated into English by Prof. Dr Mark Durie from the
university of Melbourne, Australia, who is also responsible for the editing
of the manuscript. 
This long-awaited publication is published by the Legatum Warnerianum of
Leiden University Library, in co-operation with the Indonesian Linguistic
Development Project (ILDEP) of the Projecs Division of the Department of
Languages and Cultures of South-East Asia and Oceania of Leiden university.
It is published in the series Codices Manuscripti (number 24), which series
also contains catalogues of manuscripts in, among other languages, Javanese,
Balinese, and Arabic.
